Pan Only Service
The pan is removed, inspected and cleaned. This drains approximately half the fluid. The filter can be replaced and the transmission is filled with new fluid. The other half of the fluid is still in the torque converter and, in most vehicles, there is no drain. Because only half of the fluid is replaced, it should be done more frequently. Before flushing machines were available, this was the normal service.
We DO offer this service.
Pan On Flush
TA fluid exchange machine is connected to the cooler lines. The old fluid is removed while the new fluid id forced into the transmission. While this can change most of the fluid, it mixes the old fluid with the new. The pan is not being inspected or cleaned. Although this is better than not servicing your transmission at all, it is not the best method. The filter is not being changed. The normal wear sediment is not being removed from the pan.
We DO NOT offer this service.
Pan Off Flush
First, removing the pan drains approximately half the fluid. The pan is inspected and cleaned. Then our flushing machine provides new fluid to the pump. The engine is started. With the engine running, the new fluid is pumped into the torque converter, forcing out the old fluid. The transmission is shifted into gear, forcing new fluid into the valve body and clutch packs. All the old fluid is being discarded because the pan is off. A new filter is installed (if applicable). The clean pan is installed. This is the best transmission service you can do.
We DO offer this service.
